GNR inspects documentation status of 56 foreign citizens in Alcácer do Sal

The National Republican Guard carried out, on September 8, an inspection operation in the municipality of Alcácer do Sal, with the objective of verifying the documentation status of foreign citizens in national territory. The action was executed by the Comporta Territorial Post, belonging to the Territorial Command of Setúbal, with the reinforcement of the Coastal and Border Control Unit.

During the operation, 56 foreign nationals were inspected and identified. The military personnel detected two cases of documentation irregularities, whose two citizens were notified to appear before the Agency for Integration, Migrations and Asylum, in order to regularize their situation.

As part of the same operation, the GNR proceeded with the arrest of a man for driving without a legal license. The facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Grândola, which will be responsible for following up on the case.
