Six other municipalities were classified with 'very high' danger: Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António. Lagoa, Albufeira, Faro and Olhão present 'high' danger.

The IPMA uses a five-level scale of rural fire danger, ranging from 'reduced' to 'maximum'. The calculations are based on air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and the amount of precipitation recorded in the previous 24 hours.
