In the United Kingdom and other European countries, many young people believe they will have to work for their entire lives. The phenomenon already has a name: NERDs, the English acronym for "Never Ever Retiring Demographic," meaning the population that believes it will never be able to retire. As a result, many of these young people have stopped saving for a pension, questioning the usefulness of doing so when they consider that retirement will never happen. The article warns that this loss of hope in retirement is becoming increasingly common among European youth.
