The motion of censure against the Government presented by Chega was rejected this Tuesday in Parliament. The deputies from André Ventura's party were the only ones to vote in favor of the initiative.
The voting result was 60 votes in favor, 104 votes against and 62 abstentions. PSD, CDS-PP, IL, Livre and PAN voted against the motion. PS, PCP and other parties chose to abstain.
This motion represents another attempt by Chega to bring down the executive, in a context of opposition to the current Government. The party led by André Ventura has frequently used this parliamentary instrument as a form of political pressure.
