The Tondela City Council denies the occurrence of a pollution episode in the Dinha river. Mayor Carla Antunes Borges assures that the Service for the Protection of Nature and the Environment (SEPNA) found no evidence of pollution or illegal discharge in the river waters.
The municipality's position comes despite a different coloration having been detected in the Dinha river water, which raised initial suspicions of contamination.
The municipality carried out water samplings for analysis at three different points in the river, a collection aimed at clarifying the causes of the water color change.
Local authorities are now awaiting the results of the analyses carried out to determine what caused the change in the water's appearance in the Dinha river.
