Less than 24 hours from the official start of the school year on Wednesday, 98,958 students in the province of Castellón face elevated temperatures in their classrooms. At CEIP Censal in Castelló, for example, values close to 34°C were recorded, while maximum temperatures reached 38°C in the southern interior of Castellón.
Educational centers will implement measures such as anticipating departures, hydration and distribution of hand fans to combat the heat, following the action plan presented by the Education Council. However, teachers and parent associations (Ampas) consider these measures insufficient, describing the plan as a "patch."
The concern about high temperatures remains present in the educational community of the province, which has been facing these thermal conditions since the first day of classes.
