The Local Health Unit (ULS) of Alto Alentejo came forward to clarify that the departure of oncologist Rui Dinis from the institution is not planned. The organization also guaranteed that there will be no reduction in the doctor's consultation schedule.
The clarification comes in response to concerns that had been raised about a possible departure or decrease in the service provided by the oncologist in the Alto Alentejo region.
The ULS do Alto Alentejo highlighted that, in addition to no cuts being planned, a reinforcement of the oncology service at the health unit has been announced.
This announcement comes in a context where the population of the Alto Alentejo region had expressed concern about the possibility of losing access to specialized oncological care.
