North American rapper Macklemore reiterated his pro-Palestine speech during an Ed Sheeran concert, saying "Free Palestine" clearly and audibly. The artist also stated that criticizing Israel and the apartheid is not criticism directed at Jews, addressing directly his "Jewish brothers". This was not the first time Macklemore made statements in favor of Palestine, having already expressed similar views on the first part of the British singer's tour.
The rapper's position comes at a time of growing public debate about the conflict between Israel and Palestine, with several international artists speaking out on the issue. Among them, P!nk and Boy George also criticized Israel, joining other musicians who have used their platforms to comment on the matter.
The American Israel Council has already demanded that Macklemore be removed from Ed Sheeran's tour, reacting to the rapper's statements. The organization spoke out against the artist's presence at the British singer's shows, considering his statements unacceptable.
