A new book titled "Fatima written with light" brings together 408 photographs from the Fatima Sanctuary Archive, offering a perspective on the Fatima phenomenon through photography captured by different professionals over time.
The work was presented on May 13th, the date that marked the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, at the Auditorium of the Studies Center of the Fatima Sanctuary.
The book was organized by Father José Eduardo Silva, responsible for the Sanctuary Archive, and features texts by seven authors, including Father José Eduardo Silva himself, the rector of the Sanctuary, Father Carlos Cabecinhas, and the director of the Documentation and Memory Service, Paulo Fontes.
The publication is the result of a research project that took place over two and a half years, with the support of the Foundation for Science and Technology, and aims to contribute to the historical and cultural understanding of the Fatima phenomenon through the photographic perspective.
