Kevin Parker, leader and founder of Tame Impala, publicly announced that he will stop giving autographs and taking photos with fans. The Australian musician made this decision after discovering that there are people using children as a way to get his signature, which left him deeply disturbed.
The artist referred to these behaviors as coming from "aggressive autograph hunters," suggesting there is a parallel industry that exploits his relationship with fans for commercial or resale purposes.
Kevin Parker is the only name confirmed so far for the NOS Alive 2027 lineup. The Portuguese music festival, held in Lisbon, may thus feature the musician's performance at an event that is still being built.
Parker's decision comes in a context where several artists have been establishing stricter limits on their interactions with the public, given increasingly intrusive behaviors on the part of some fans and intermediaries.
