The Leisure Space at Foz do Sabor, in Torre de Moncorvo, hosts another edition of the Vinho, Sabor Douro festival on September 12 and 13, dedicated to the promotion of wines produced in the municipality and the celebration of the grape harvest season. The event features the participation of 12 producers from Torre de Moncorvo, two producers from the Regional Wine Commission of Trás-os-Montes, and a representative from the Spanish municipality of Guarrate, which is twinned with Torre de Moncorvo.
The program also includes an exhibition of sweets and dried fruits, as well as a sensory analysis of wines from the Douro region and Trás-os-Montes. Entertainment takes place throughout the two days, with highlights including the White Night on September 12, featuring a performance by Sara Correia, among other artists. On Sunday, the Inter-Parishes Borderless Games will also take place.
Entry to the event is free and the organizers also provide free transportation between Torre de Moncorvo and Foz do Sabor during the two days of the festival. The event is reported by journalist Vitória Botelho.
