Two earthquakes of magnitudes 4.4 and 3.4 shook northwest Venezuela during the early morning. The tremors affected inhabitants of the states of Falcón and Yaracuy, waking the local population. The information was confirmed by the Seismic Research Foundation (Funvisis), the agency responsible for monitoring seismic activity in the country. So far, no fatalities or material damage have been reported as a result of the seismic events.
