The city of Trancoso will host from October 2 to 4 the first edition of the "Trovas Literárias" festival, dedicated to the celebration of the word, literature, the arts, oral tradition, and Portuguese cultural heritage. The information was revealed by the president of the Trancoso City Council this Tuesday.
The festival was designated as "Trovas Literárias – Trancoso Literary Festival 2026", although the first edition is scheduled for October 2025. The event aims to promote and enhance the Portuguese literary tradition, with special focus on trovas and oral tradition that are part of the country's cultural heritage.
Trancoso, known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, was chosen as the location to host this first edition of the festival. The city council revealed that the event aims to attract both local residents and visitors interested in literature and Portuguese traditions.
