The algarvian Luan Andrade represented Portugal at the European Artistic Skating Championship, held between September 3rd and 9th, in Ponte di Legno, Italy. This was his second consecutive participation in one of the main European competitions in the sport. The athlete from the Albufeira Skating Club qualified for the European Championship after becoming national champion, in a season marked by competitive evolution and the work developed with his technical team.

The presence at the European competition allowed the young athlete to once again measure himself against some of the best skaters on the continent. After the championship, coach Célia Busatori recognized that Luan did not deliver his best performance, but highlighted the way he managed his programs intelligently and competitively during the competition.

The coach also emphasized the progression achieved by the skater throughout the season, which culminated in winning the national title. According to Célia Busatori, the athlete showed enormous evolution throughout this season, the result of hard work, dedication, and commitment. The work now continues with the aim of maintaining the competitive level at the highest national level.

Célia Busatori also thanked her teammate coach Ines Marques, physical trainer Patrícia Inácio from Ginásio Move, and the entire team from the Portuguese Skating Federation. Luan Andrade thus concludes another international participation representing the Portuguese national team, after a season in which he achieved the national champion title and once again competed among the European elite of his category.
