Italy hosted the first European autonomous racing car competition, without a human driver. The competition represents a milestone in the technological development of racing vehicles that operate without human intervention. The cars are controlled exclusively through artificial intelligence systems and advanced programming. A significant part of the work takes place in simulator sessions, where teams test and perfect autonomous driving algorithms. The competition requires teams to constantly seek the balance between maximizing vehicle speed and managing the risks associated with autonomous technology.
