The agents of the Public Security Police of Olhão deny in court any responsibility for the death of an immigrant. The case is being tried following an indictment by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
According to the indictment, the agents allegedly transported the victims in a patrol car outside the city of Olhão. There, they allegedly assaulted the victim with violence.
The victim ended up dying about 20 days after the assaults. The agents are now being tried for the crime of homicide.
