Two agents of the Polícia de Segurança Pública from Olhão presented their defense this Thursday at the Judicial Court of Faro, denying any responsibility for the death of an immigrant. The two police officers have been charged with two aggravated kidnapping crimes and one qualified homicide crime.
The facts date back to March 2024, when the immigrant's death occurred. The Public Prosecutor's Office maintains that the agents acted criminally against the victim.
During the trial session, the defendants reiterated their innocence, refusing the accusations leveled against them. The defense of the police officers argues that the agents had no involvement in the crimes of which they are suspected.
The trial continues with the presentation of further evidence and testimonies related to this case involving alleged abuses by PSP agents in the Olhão region.
