The traditional Tuesday Night at Palha Blanco, in Vila Franca de Xira, takes place on October 6 at 10 PM and will be dedicated to the exaltation of the forcado. The bullfight features six bulls from the Veiga Teixeira cattle ranch and the horsemen João Salgueiro, João Moura Jr. and António Prates, with the first two returning after the Corrida do Colete Encarnado, where they were highlighted as figures and triumphators of the Portuguese season.
The event will be marked by the passing of the baton in the leadership of the Grupo de Forcados Amadores de Vila Franca de Xira. Vasco Pereira closes his cycle as cabo of the group, handing over leadership to Rodrigo Dotti. This change occurs precisely on one of the most symbolic nights for the Vila Franca forcados, in front of their hometown audience.
The Forcados de Vila Franca will have the responsibility of facing all six bulls of the night, concentrating on themselves all the attention of the pegas. The organization presents the bullfight as a night dedicated to the exaltation of the forcado, at a time when the group itself is experiencing a moment of transition between two leaders.
António Prates completes the lineup after having stood out in the Corrida Concurso de Ganadarias. The night of October 6 thus represents more than just a bullfight on the calendar, being also a farewell to Vasco Pereira and the beginning of a new stage for the Forcados de Vila Franca under the command of Rodrigo Dotti.
