ZERO alerts for alleged illegal expansion of Castelo Branco landfill

ZERO – Association for Sustainable Terrestrial System issued a negative opinion on the project to expand the non-hazardous waste landfill in Castelo Branco, operated by the company Biosmart. The association warned about the possibility of the new cell, designated as the third cell, receiving organic waste, whose deposition in landfill is prohibited by current legislation.
