The Automobile Club of Minho (CAM) is in mourning following the death of Antonino Assunção Carvalho Gomes, a reference figure of the institution. His death represents a significant loss for the club and for the automobile community of the region.
Antonino Gomes was a member, advisor to the board, and race director of CAM. Over many years, he maintained a close connection both to the club and to motorsport in general, having accumulated extensive experience in the sport.
He held various roles within the institution, including that of track commissioner. In addition, he was responsible for training, contributing to the preparation and qualification of other professionals and motorsport enthusiasts.
