NERSANT defended greater involvement of companies in defining Higher Professional Technical Courses (CTeSP), considering that the link between higher education and the business sector should be strengthened to more effectively respond to labor market needs. The position was presented by Rui Serrano, president of NERSANT – Business Association of the Region of Santarém / Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during a session dedicated to the topic.
The session "A Decade of CTeSP – Evaluation and Future of Short-Cycle Higher Education" took place at the Teatro Thalia, in Lisbon, and marked the ten years of existence of CTeSP. The event brought together government officials, higher education institutions, regional development entities and representatives of the business sector to reflect on the trajectory of this training offer and the challenges facing its future.
According to NERSANT, the study "CTeSP: Evaluation of a Decade of Higher Professional Technical Courses" presents an assessment of this decade of professional training in higher education, serving as a basis for discussion on how to improve the alignment between the training offered and the real needs of the labor market.
