The Water Rally Transiberian Eurocities Chaves-Verín takes place this weekend, being the fifth of eight rounds of the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR). The cross-border event between Chaves and Verín promises to be decisive for the fight for the national title, with Rúben Rodrigues leading at the wheel of a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2. The Azorean driver has 100 points, resulting from three wins and one second place, holding a 20-point advantage over Pedro Almeida and 33 points over Armindo Araújo. In addition to these, Ricardo Teodósio, Pedro Meireles, José Pedro Fontes and Gonçalo Henriques remain mathematically in contention for the championship.
