Four paintings by French painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir were stolen from the Renoir Museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the south of France. The theft occurred during the early morning when two men entered the museum premises.
The two individuals managed to take four artworks from the museum. During the escape, one of the paintings was abandoned, but the remaining three paintings remain missing.
The stolen works were valued at nine million euros in total. So far, the French authorities have been unable to locate the missing paintings.
