Man poses as PJ element to commit robbery

A man was arrested by PSP on suspicion of posing as a Judicial Police element to commit robberies. The arrest occurred today at 7 a.m.

Authorities also arrested a second suspect, both outside of being caught in the act. The robbery crimes are believed to have occurred in Espinho.

PSP carried out the arrests this morning. Investigations continue to clarify all the details of the case.

PRF agents seize cocaine hidden in shopping carts transported in bus luggage compartment

Federal Highway Police agents seized 2.5 kilograms of cocaine hidden in shopping carts being transported in the external luggage compartment of a bus on BR-116 Highway, in Sapucaia, in the South-Central region of Rio de Janeiro state. The drug was discovered during an inspection by the K9 Operations Group (GOC-RJ), when dogs detected the narcotics. A foreign passenger was arrested and confessed to having picked up the drug in São Paulo destined for Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro, receiving payment for the transport.
