German exports fell in July for the first time in five months, signaling a loss of momentum in the country's export sector. This decline marks a reversal in the positive trend that had been observed in previous months.
The drop in foreign sales was driven by weaker demand from China and the eurozone, which outweighed the recovery recorded in trade with the United States. Thus, growth in exports to the American market was not enough to offset the weakening demand in these two key markets.
