The National Republican Guard arrested on September 7, in Almada, a 38-year-old man suspected of committing several thefts, mostly at educational establishments in the municipality. The operation culminated in the execution of an arrest warrant outside of flagrant delicto, as part of an investigation that had been ongoing for some time.
The man is suspected of having committed 11 thefts at schools in the Almada area, in addition to having committed credit card abuse crimes. Authorities believe the suspect acted repeatedly, taking advantage of opportunities at educational establishments to commit the crimes.
Following the arrest, the man was brought before the competent judicial authorities, where he was subjected to coercive measures. The GNR continues to investigate any additional crimes that may be related to the suspect's criminal activity.
