A fire broke out in the locality of Alcouce, in the municipality of Condeixa, displacing a family from the area. The incident caused one injured person with second-degree burns, who was taken to the University of Coimbra Hospitals to receive medical treatment.
In addition to the seriously injured person, three other people were assisted at the scene of the incident. Among these victims is a baby of only five months of age, who did not suffer serious injuries but required monitoring at the scene.
The competent authorities were called to intervene at the scene of the fire, which destroyed part of the dwelling and left the family without conditions to remain in the residence. Details regarding the cause of the fire have not yet been released by the authorities.
