On September 19th, at 9:30 PM, the Palco das Artes, in Vila Nova de Cerveira, hosts Dubaquito, a young band from Alto Minho. The concert promises to bring energy, irreverence and good vibes to the audience.
The band's lineup is made up of six musicians aged between 16 and 19: Carolina Alves on vocals, Pedro Quintas on drums, Manecas on guitar, Tomé Castro on guitar, Salvador Cruz on bass and Gabriel Alves on piano. Dubaquito represents a new generation of musicians who find in artistic creation a form of expression and participation in the cultural life of the region.
The band members have been building a musical identity marked by enthusiasm and a desire to take the stage. For these young people, music constitutes a privileged space to experiment, learn and share with the audience.
The focus on projects led by young musicians fits within a vision of culture as an open space to different generations, languages and experiences. By hosting Dubaquito, Cerveira reinforces the importance of creating opportunities for local and regional talent to present their work, gain stage experience and reach new audiences.
