The FÉRTIL festival will take place on October 3rd and 4th, from 2 PM to 11 PM, at Parque Ribeirinho Poente in Olhão, for its fourth edition. The event is structured around four pillars: Environment, Community, Culture and Innovation, offering the audience two days of diverse programming that includes music, conversations, talks, workshops, cinema, exhibitions, activities for families, a creative market and gastronomy.
Regarding music, Sensible Soccers take the stage on October 3rd and Rossana on October 4th. The musical program also features DJ sets by Pedro Ramos and Joana de Verona, also known as Makumbeat. In the thematic spaces, the festival proposes debates on topics such as villages of the future, education as the "First Infrastructure of Sustainability," circular economy, conscious eating, agroforestry planning and the Solar Punk movement.
The Rotinas Selvagens Association runs the area dedicated to children and families, while Positive Hands is responsible for the Healing Area, with wellness and self-care experiences. Artists & Fleas brings together projects and creators in a market dedicated to independent production, design, art and creative entrepreneurship. In the food area, visitors will find food trucks and restaurants with diverse offerings, with the festival maintaining its characteristic clay cups and inviting the public to bring their own cup.
FÉRTIL is produced by MOCES, in co-production with the Municipality of Olhão. This edition has support from CCDR Algarve, through the Regional Cultural Initiatives Support Program, Turismo do Algarve, Necton, Viveiros Monte Rosa and KODIS, with Algarve Evolution joining as a financial partner.
