Frei João de Mansilha Space Celebrates One Year Open to History

The Frei João de Mansilha Space, located in Santa Marta de Penaguião, celebrates on September 10th the first anniversary since its opening to the public. Throughout this first year, the space has received numerous visitors and promoted moments of contact with the history, identity and memory of the territory, establishing itself as a place dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of local heritage. The date chosen for the celebration also coincides with Port Wine Day, a symbolic connection to the history of the Douro and the winemaking tradition that continues to profoundly mark Santa Marta de Penaguião. To mark the anniversary, the Frei João de Mansilha Space will be open to the public between 09:00 and 17:00, inviting visitors and the community to discover or revisit this space dedicated to the history and identity of the municipality.
