Braga: Rua Nova de Santa Cruz with restricted traffic on Saturday

Rua Nova de Santa Cruz, in the parish of São Victor, in Braga, will be subject to traffic restrictions on Saturday, September 12. Vehicle circulation will be prohibited between 08:00 and 13:00 on a section of this street.

The restriction is due to the carrying out of roof rehabilitation work on building number 233 of the aforementioned street. During the indicated period, the circulation prohibition aims to allow for the parking of mobile equipment necessary for the execution of the work.

Access to building number 233 will be guaranteed, although with possible changes compared to usual.

Fake PJ inspectors arrested by PSP

The PSP of Espinho arrested two men, aged 37 and 39, suspected of posing as Judicial Police inspectors to rob passersby on the street. The suspects, with criminal records for thefts and robberies, approached victims in busy areas of the city, simulating police searches to take money, mobile phones and gold items. The duo used physical aggression and death threats to intimidate victims, having forced at least one person to receive hospital care. Detention and search warrants were executed, and authorities admit the existence of more victims, with investigations ongoing.

Torres Vedras | Man arrested for drug trafficking in Santa Cruz

A 24-year-old man was arrested by the Republican National Guard (GNR) for drug trafficking in Santa Cruz, in the municipality of Torres Vedras. The arrest occurred during a patrol action, when the military identified suspicious behavior on the public road. During the security search, 96 doses of hashish, 178 euros in cash, a mobile phone and a transport bag were found. The arrested person was made a defendant and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Court of Torres Vedras.
