Viana do Castelo Prepared to Host National and World Float Fishing at Sea Championships

Viana do Castelo was chosen as the venue for two important Float Fishing at Sea competitions: the national club championships and, subsequently, the world championship. The events will take place on the banks of the River Lima.

The national club championship is scheduled for September 12th and constitutes a decisive stage of the competition. This is one of the main official events of the Portuguese Sport Fishing Federation, testing the technical and strategic skill of teams in catching marine species using the float fishing technique.

Among the clubs participating in this advanced stage of the competition, the following stand out: "A Robaleira" Fishing Club, União Desportiva e Cultural Banheirense, Liberdade Futebol Clube, Clube Desportivo Mar e Serra, Associação Desportiva Cultural e Recreativa da Bordinheira, Casa do Benfica de Peniche, and Clube de Pesca Monte Real.

This event serves as preparation for the III World Float Fishing at Sea Championship, which will be held between October 14th and 18th.
