The Judicial Police arrested a 70-year-old man suspected of sexual crimes against four children in the town of Belas, in Sintra. The investigation took place within the scope of an inquiry aimed at determining the crimes committed by the suspect.
The facts occurred between 2022 and 2025, in a neighborhood context between the defendant and the victims. The children are currently aged four, 10, 11, and 16 years old.
The man was arrested and subjected to a first judicial interrogation, having been subject to preventive detention as a precautionary measure. The operation was carried out by the Southern Directorate of the Judicial Police.
