The Faro City Council will launch this year a competition for the construction of 480 houses in the Braciais area. This operation is part of the goal defined by the municipality to build 1,000 houses over a four-year period.
The announcement was made by the Algarve municipality, which expects this to be just the first of several interventions in the housing area. A second intervention is already planned for the parish of Estoi, where another 488 houses are planned.
With these two projects, Faro expects to reach a total of 968 new homes, thus approaching the goal of a thousand houses in four years. The competition for Braciais should be launched shortly, beginning the construction process.
