The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), the Republican National Guard (GNR) and the Public Security Police (PSP) launched on Tuesday, September 8, the "Cinto-me Vivo" inspection campaign. This campaign is dedicated to the correct use of road safety devices, including seatbelts, child seats and helmets. The operation runs until September 14, covering the entire national territory.
This action is part of the ninth campaign of the National Inspection Plan (PNF), which establishes the surveillance and control priorities of the road safety authorities in Portugal. The main objective is to reinforce inspections and raise awareness among drivers and passengers about the importance of the correct use of these protective devices.
The security forces involved will carry out patrols and control operations on public roads, highways and motorways, verifying the compliance of vehicle occupants with safety rules. This campaign comes in the context of an ongoing effort to reduce road accidents and their serious consequences in Portugal.
