Ukraine's prosecutor general, Ruslan Kravchenko, submitted his resignation on Monday. The official's departure comes after searches were conducted at his office during the weekend, as part of a corruption investigation.
The searches were conducted as part of an inquiry investigating fraudulent service center schemes. Ukrainian authorities have been intensifying anti-corruption efforts in the country.
Kravchenko was Ukraine's prosecutor general. His resignation occurs at a time when Ukraine faces significant challenges both domestically and in the context of the ongoing armed conflict.
