The Liberal Initiative created its Territorial Nucleus of Beja, coordinated by Inês Aleluia. The party intends to reinforce its presence in the district, expanding the organization and creating a local base to bring liberal ideas to the communities of the region.
The liberals affirm they want to return ambition to Beja, liberate its economic, social and political potential and create conditions so that living, investing and building a future in the district no longer requires a permanent exercise of resistance.
The party refuses the idea that Beja is condemned to demographic decline, a shortage of opportunities or the inevitable departure of its young people. The IL considers that the region has identity, talent, resources and a strategic location that the country is slow to recognize and value.
For this potential to translate into prosperity, opportunities and quality of life, the Liberal Initiative defends that a new political culture is necessary, based on freedom, individual initiative, investment, responsibility and the courage to decide. "It is this change we want to lead," the statement concludes.
