The bodies of the Socialist Party defended that the party should abstain in the motion of censure against the Government. The general secretary of the socialists, José Luís Carneiro, met on Monday night with the secretariat, after having consulted the members of the political commission on this matter.

The parliamentary group of the PS will meet this Tuesday at 14:00, before the debate and vote on the motion of censure. This meeting will serve to align the position of the socialist deputies regarding the motion presented by the right.
