A week before classes begin, the Education Minister announced that there are still more than two thousand vacant schedules to be filled in schools. This situation arises at a critical moment in the school calendar, when teachers and educational institutions should already have all positions filled.
According to the government official, there are teachers available to fill these vacancies. The Minister guaranteed that there are qualified professionals interested in taking on these schedules, contradicting earlier concerns about the lack of available teachers.
Fernando Medina, who holds the Education portfolio, chose not to anticipate a more detailed assessment of the situation. The Minister deferred a complete evaluation to the end of the week, when he is expected to present updated figures on the distribution of teachers in schools.
