IPMA published on August 31 the final reports of the PRR project "Technical studies for offshore energy potential". This project enabled the characterization, from a geophysical, geotechnical and environmental perspective, of approximately 2,000 km² of Portugal's western coast. The areas covered were Figueira da Foz, Leixões and Viana do Castelo, defined by the Action Program for the offshore renewable energy industrial value chain. The final reports are available on IPMA's website. This project is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan and aims to support the development of the offshore renewable energy industrial value chain in Portugal.
