A 37-year-old man was arrested for killing his own grandmother, Clarisse Paulo, 79 years old, with a knife in the city of São Paulo. The crime happened this Monday morning and the elderly woman was found dead inside the house.
Neighbors of the neighborhood reported to CMTV that the suspect was the victim's grandson and that he suffered from schizophrenia. Furthermore, they reported that he had problems with excessive alcohol use, which worsened his mental health condition.
Despite the aggressor's health conditions, locals stated that the relationship between him and the grandmother was considered "very good." No information was disclosed about what might have motivated the fatal attack at the time the crime occurred.
