The Public Prosecutor's Office has accused a 56-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman of committing, in co-authorship, 44 crimes of aggravated sexual abuse against a 13-year-old minor. The accusation was filed within the scope of an investigation conducted by the 2nd Specialized Section of the DIAP of Évora.

The crimes are alleged to have been committed continuously within the family household, as the victim lived with both defendants in the area of Montemor-o-Novo. The MP states that the defendants are answering for the crimes allegedly committed against the minor.

The case allegedly involves 44 crimes of aggravated sexual abuse, and it is a case of great complexity due to the nature of the facts and the close relationship between the suspects and the victim. The investigation took place in the district of Évora, with specialized monitoring by the competent authorities.
