The trial of Luís Rufo began in silence at the Braga court, after the man was accused by the Public Ministry of having posed as a lawyer for almost three decades.
According to the prosecution, Rufo practiced as a lawyer between 1993 and July 2022, having an office in the city of Braga throughout this entire period.
The Public Ministry argues that the defendant was never qualified to practice law, since he never completed a law degree.
The case now awaits development at the Braga court, with the defendant not making statements at this initial phase of the trial.
