In Montemor-o-Novo, a couple has been accused of child abuse crimes. The two defendants are a 56-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman.

The crimes they are suspected of are believed to have been committed in co-authorship, meaning based on collaboration between the two defendants.

In total, the Public Prosecutor's Office charges the defendants with 24 aggravated child sexual abuse crimes and 20 aggravated sexual abuse crimes of dependent minors.
