The cold air mass that hit Rio de Janeiro continues to cause low temperatures in the state capital this Monday, with a maximum expected of only 20 degrees. The rain should also not let up, maintaining intensity between light and moderate throughout the day, according to the Alerta Rio System.

The Brazilian Navy issued a rough seas alert valid until 6 PM this Monday, with waves expected to reach 2.5 meters in height. For safety, the Tim Maia Bike Path was closed due to the risk posed by the adverse sea conditions.

The Center for Operations and Resilience (COR) of the city government reported that Rio entered Stage 2, indicating a situation of attention given the meteorological scenario. Winds should vary from light, with speeds of up to 18.5 km/h, to moderate, potentially reaching 51.9 km/h.

For the next few days, the Alerta Rio forecast indicates that rain will continue, with light intensity on Tuesday morning and moderate winds. From Wednesday to Friday, the forecast also points to continued rain, although the specific details about those days were not fully provided in the article.
