A woman was trapped inside a vehicle after an accident on BR-343 and needed to call the firefighters by cell phone to be rescued. During the call, she informed the rescuers that there was smoke coming out of the vehicle and that she feared a fire.
The firefighters began searching the highway to locate the crashed vehicle. The location operation took more than an hour until the rescuers were able to find the woman.
After being found, the firefighters were able to rescue the victim, who did not have serious injuries reported. The vehicle was later removed from the road by the emergency teams.
