A 67-year-old passenger identified as Arthur Layne Lundeen was immobilized with tape and plastic zip ties during American Airlines Flight 618, after committing assaults and racist and homophobic offenses against a flight attendant and another passenger. The incident occurred Thursday night.
Lundeen was a real estate agent at the company Long Realty, based in Tucson, Arizona. After being identified as responsible for the unruly behavior on board, he was immediately fired by the real estate company.
Long Realty issued a statement on Facebook on Sunday confirming knowledge of the criminal charges brought against the former employee. The company stated that upon learning of the incident, it promptly ended its relationship with the individual.
The former real estate agent is no longer associated with Long Realty, which emphasized the "concerning criminal charges" resulting from the episode on the commercial flight.
