Sergipan Janete Tina Correia launched her second book, "Fidiguido", with Editora 7Letras under the Beiral imprint, 264 pages at a price of R$ 89. The work hits the market ten years after her debut as a writer with the book "Essa menina", which received critical acclaim.
Tina grew up enchanted by the legendary figure of Zé Peixe, the harbor pilot from Aracaju who swam in open seas to guide vessels into port. Her nickname "China" was given by her own father, due to the more almond-shaped eyes she was born with, and her siblings, who couldn't pronounce the "ch" sound, started calling her Tina.
In the novel "Fidiguido", the character Guido is described as an expert swimmer, establishing a thematic connection with the story of the harbor pilot who fascinated the author during her childhood in Sergipe.
The book launch featured a signing event this Tuesday (8th) at 7 PM at Livraria da Travessa in Shopping Leblon, located at Afrânio de Melo Franco Avenue, number 290, shop 205-A.
