A centenary tree was uprooted during the storm that occurred last Saturday in Albergaria-a-Velha, in the district of Aveiro. The hail, strong wind and heavy rain caused, on the night of September 5th, many damages in the municipalities of Albergaria-a-Velha and Oliveira de Azeméis. The Civil Protection of Albergaria-a-Velha classified the situation as a strong storm that affected the region. The article indicates that the centenary tree was one of the most visible consequences of the intensity of the bad weather that was felt that night.
