Manuel dos Santos is a self-taught artist who discovered drawing after completing a career in the Air Force. Through charcoal, he found the ideal technique to give shape to his portraits, creating a complete collection of works.
The artist does not sell his paintings, preferring to keep the entire collection together. Instead, Manuel expresses the desire to see his work displayed to the public, thus sharing his art with others.
Manuel dos Santos's journey demonstrates how the discovery of an artistic vocation can happen at any stage of life, often as a result of previous professional experiences that shape the artist's sensitivity and vision.
